The Zonta Club of Longview awards a variety of scholarships to assist women to contribute to their higher education.

  Z-Club Scholarships
Four scholarships in the amount of $1000 each are awarded each year at our Service Awards Luncheon.  They are awarded to outstanding high school seniors who have participated in a Z-Club sponsored by the Zonta Club of Longview.  The awards are based on a number of factors and are not exclusively based on scholarship

  Mary Belle Hughey Scholarship
This scholarship in the amount of $1000 honors one of the charter members of the Zonta Club of Longview.  Mrs. Hughey was also the founder of the Annual Antiques Show and Sale, and was a mentor for many members of the Zonta Club of Longview.

This non-traditional scholarship is presented to a woman, head of household, who wants to attend or return to college to improve her qualification for better employment to support her family.

    Emeritus Scholarship
This scholarship was established to honor all Emeritus Members of the Zonta Club of Longview.  It is also a non-traditional scholarship in the amount of $1000 and is awarded to a woman, head of household, who wants to attend or return to college to improve her qualification for better employment to support her family.

    Young Woman in Public Affairs
This scholarship, also in the amount of $1000, is awarded to a high school senior, preferably a member of one of the four local Z-Clubs, who plans to enter the field of community service as her chosen profession.  The successful applicant's application is also forwarded to District competition, and if successful there, on to International competition.
